The Flytlab H2FLO pen-style vaporizer produces vapor that’s just as smooth as its look. With a modular design and multiple modes, you don’t have to sacrifice your vaping style just to gain some portability.
While the H2FLO isn’t perfect (what vaporizer is?), it has just about everything you want in a dry herb vaporizer: amazing taste, convection heating system and a strong battery.
One of the first things that stood out to me about the H2FLO is its sleek and smart design. It’s a little thicker than other vape pens, but it feels good in your hand and it maintains that discreet look we all want.
And at just 5.5 inches, you can easily carry this vape pen in your pocket or purse.
The H2FLO has a nice look, but it’s nothing to write home about. In my opinion, it’s what’s under the hood that really matters, and this vape pen really delivers on flavor and vapor quality.
Ceramic Coil Technology and Convection Heating
The H2FLO uses convection-style heating to heat your herbs evenly and without burning them. And its ceramic coil technology helps produce a smooth, pure flavor that’s almost on par with desktop vaporizers.
The H2FLO is easy to use, too, and its long-lasting battery lets you enjoy your session without rushing through.
Three Vape Styles
The one thing I really like about this vaporizer is that it comes with two attachments, so you can choose the vape style that suits you best.
The basic mode is just that – basic. But don’t let that turn you off. In this mode, you pack the chamber and attach the mouthpiece. The herb heats up in the chamber, and you inhale just like you would with any other vaporizer.
In the basic mode, the H2FLO produces thick, rich clouds. I will admit that it can be harsh at times, and that’s because this vaporizer runs hot. There’s no temperature control with the H2FLO (my biggest complaint), so there’s little you can do to tame the harshness in this mode.
The H2FLO comes with a water chamber attachment that offers some extra diffusion. The water chamber cools and filters the vapor, so if you find the basic mode to be harsh, this mode may be the better option for you.
Even with the water chamber attached, this vaporizer produces flavorful and rich vapor that doesn’t disappoint.
The only issue I’ve found with the water attachment is that it makes the vaporizer considerably larger. It’s still small enough to be portable, but it’s not as discreet as the basic mode.
The H2FLO also comes with an air chamber control attachment, which gives you more control over the air flow and allows for unique carburation.
The great thing about this attachment is that it allows you to adjust the density of the vapor, and you can fill up the chamber before taking a hit. Just like with the water attachment, the air control unit cools down the vapor, so you get smoother and more flavorful vapor.
The air mode produces big clouds, too.
But again, the air chamber control unit adds height to the vaporizer, so it loses some of its portability and isn’t as discreet as the basic mode.
The water and the air attachments can be used simultaneously, so you really have control over your vaping experience.
Amazing Taste and Excellent Quality Vapor
The ceramic coil system heats your herb evenly and without burning it, so you enjoy pure flavor.
No matter which mode you choose, you’ll get flavorful vapor and big clouds.
In the basic mode, the vapor can be harsh at times, and that’s because the H2FLO runs hot. But using the water and/or air attachments really cools things down, so you get a smoother, more satisfying taste.
Vape pens can be a hit or miss in the battery department, but the H2FLO has a long-lasting battery for longer vaping sessions.
This vape pen is easy to recharge, and it comes with a micro-USB charging cord.
Easy to Use and Maintain
Some vape pens can be complicated to use, but Flytlab simplified things with the H2FLO. No matter which mode you choose, the process is pretty much the same. And because there’s only one heat setting, you don’t have to waste time flipping through temperatures or modes.
Just fill, power up and go.
More specifically, here’s how you use the H2FLO:
- Grind your herbs to a medium grind.
- Fill the oven chamber. Be careful not to overfill. Leave some room at the top for airflow.
- Close the top and attach the mouthpiece, or add the water and/or air attachments. Remember: you can use both attachments at the same time.
- Press the power button three times to turn on the vaporizer.
- Wait 90 seconds for the H2FLO to heat up.
- The light on the front of the unit will change from red to green when it’s ready for use.
- Press the power button five times quickly to turn off the unit.
The H2FLO is also easy to maintain, and Flytlab includes everything you need to keep the unit clean. The included cleaning tools can be used to keep the oven and mouthpiece clean.
To keep the air control unit and the water chamber clean, just soak a Q-tip in isopropyl alcohol and wipe down the sides of the attachments. The O-rings come clean with a little soap and water.
Cleaning and maintenance may be the last thing on your mind when you look at a vaporizer, but it’s an important thing to consider because every vaporizer needs to be cleaned to keep it running in tip-top shape.
Flytlab’s H2FLO really impressed me. The unit produces excellent vapor with a rich flavor, and the included attachments allow you to customize your vaping experience. And without the water and air attachments, this unit is discreet enough to take with you on the go.
My only complaint? There’s no temperature control. But that has more do to with the simple volume of vapes that we test. We have been spoiled on the bigger, portable models that have temp control on-board. For the smaller form factor of vape pens, this would be a true luxury and with the design of this vape pen makes this something you can easily overlook.
